Village Suite
The suite, suitable for a small string orchestra and written in 2002/3, consists of four movements:
~ Afternooon
~ Summer Rain
~ Cider and Straw
~ Night

Score and parts are available to purchase.

Afternoon
The first movement of Village Suite gets things underway at a lively tempo, with a contrasting middle section, which is more sedate and relaxed.

Standard: Elementary
Duration: 3'00"

Summer Rain
The second movement has some unexpected corners with changes of tempo, key, tonality, metre, and mood.

Standard: Intermediate
Duration: 4'10"

Cider and Straw
Another lively movement with some energy and lyrical melodies.

Standard: Intermediate
Duration: 4'10

Night
Closing Village Suite is this short, calm movement. It should not be rushed. You may like to make it last longer than the one minute duration.
